Walk and Wade Trips

Depending on the time of year in which you take your trip, our fisheries offer a variety of angling opportunities ranging from chasing large, stocked trout  to hunting for wild trout. Guided trip rates are for rivers and streams within our usual area of operations. This is primarily in Tennessee although we sometimes guide on the North Carolina side as well. Much of where you will fish will be determined by factors such as the season of your trip, water flows and also what is happening with our local trout populations at the time of your trip. Our local wade trips offer a perfect venue for anglers that are wanting to enter the sport to learn the fundamentals of fly fishing.

Instructional Trips

We offer unique fly fishing lessons, specializing in modern tight line adaptive fly fishing techniques that will equip you with the lastest and most successful methods for catching trout. Tight light nymphing, also known as European Nymphing, is quickly becoming a favorite method for catching wild trout in streams, rivers, and creeks. This method allows for quick adjustment and detailed control of depth, drift, and direction of our flies putting them right where they need to be .. in front of their mouth! We can teach you this super fun and engaging method that will give you the best chance of catching trout and lots of them!

We also offer basic fly fishing lessons including: setting up your rod and reel, casting, reading water, drifting techniques, and fish conservation.
